Paul Mondell is the Founder and Principal of Sustainable Planning and Development Solutions Inc.,  a consulting and project management company engaged in development project throughout Ontario.  Paul is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s School of Urban and Regional Planning.

With 40 years of experience in senior positions in all facets of the real estate and land development Industry, including land acquisition, conceptual community planning and design, land use approvals and infrastructure construction throughout North America.  Paul also managed a wide range of residential and commercial construction projects.

Leadership in the development industry led to his election as Chair of Ontario’s Urban Development Institute (UDI) and as President of Canada’s Urban Development Institute. In these roles, Paul was involved in a wide range of issues affecting the development industry, interacting with federal and provincial governments in key policy areas including affordable housing, infrastructure, finance and inter-provincial trade. I served on Ontario’s Task Force on Affordable Housing, appeared before the Prime Minister’s Task Force on Urban Issues, participated in a provincial housing ministers meeting, and testified at numerous Legislature committees.

Paul, previously, led the development group within one of Canada’s largest resorts companies.  He was integral in the planning, development and construction of resort projects in Ontario and California.
