Who We Are

Leadership Team with decades of experience developing and building master planned communities including residential, commercial, retail and recreation-based developments. Our Team has worked with organizations in the development of projects across the building spectrum and is focused on creating communities with an emphasis on health and wellness based developments while working with stakeholders to create spaces to work, live and play for residents and visitors.

Leading the project team are: Paul Golini as the Project Lead and Senior Advisor, Paul Mondell as the Head of Development and Planning, Martin Simone as the President and CFO, and Antonio Piazza as the Vice President and Senior Real Estate Advisor.

The Beaver Valley Development Group (bvdg.ca) is holding the second Public Information Session for the planning and design of their lands. They have retained The Planning Partnership to lead the initial stage of the development process. This is the second of three Information Sessions planned over the coming months to collaborate with the community on the directions for development on these lands. In this second meeting, The Planning Partnership will give a presentation providing an overview of the development process, the planning context of the lands, what we’ve heard so far and land use options being considered. They have retained The Planning Partnership to lead the initial stage of the development process. In this first meeting, The Planning Partnership will give a brief presentation, providing an overview of the development process, the results of the 2021 Beaver Valley Visioning exercise, the planning context of the lands and key directions to consider for land use options to be explored at the second Information Session. Meeting participants will be invited to share their ideas following the presentation. The Beaver Valley Development Group is organizing a Community Reference Group (CRG) as one component of the public engagement for the planning and design of development for the upper and lower parcels of the Talisman lands. If you are interested in participating as a member of the CRG, please submit a paragraph description of your primary area of interest and why you would be a valuable member of the Group to beavervalley@planpart.ca by September 9, 2022. The CRG is a non-political reference group to provide a focused forum for conversation and feedback to the Project Team at key points during the planning and design process for the project. It is intended to augment the forums planned for collaboration with the broader public. Public engagement is important to determine the direction of development on the former Talisman lands.

On June 9th, the sale of the former Talisman Golf Course and the upper land atop the old Talisman resort, closed. The properties, known as 150 Talisman Mountain Drive – Upper and Lower, have been sold to Westway Capital.

On Monday, March 14, the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario ruled in favour of the Municipality of Grey Highlands, dismissing a motion brought forward by the Protecting Talisman Lands Association to halt the sale of the Municipally owned Talisman lands to Westway Capital.

Planning with Purpose

The BVDG is currently engaged in and at the beginning stages of the outlined development plan displayed in the adjacent image. As we move through the process, BVDG will utilize the planning process to create and shape the Development Vision and ultimate master plan for the site.
